Summer Match Play Doubles Championship - 16th July to 12th September 2010
Following the success of our Winter Match Play Doubles Championship registration for our Summer Championship is now open. Please email gclarkson@llimail.com or call 678-318-7861 to register for the tournament. The field is limited so please register as quickly as possible to avoid dissapointment.
Who can play?..... The Summer Championship is open to ladies and gentlemen aged 18 years and above. Each team will require two players with handicaps. If you don't have an official Georgia State Golf Association Handicap then you may purchase one through the golf club at a discounted rate of $30+tax. We will require names of both players in your team, email addresses, telephone numbers and GHIN numbers where applicable.
Fees & Format?.....Tournament entry is free, players need only pay the appropriate round rate when they play which includes greens fee, cart fee, gate fee, range balls and complimentary food & beverage. The farther you advance in the tournament, the lower your greens fee becomes! The tournament format will be best ball match play with 80% of handicap differences allocated. All players will play the hole out themselves and the player with the best net score wins the hole for their team. This is the same format they play in the 'fourball' matches in the Ryder Cup but with handicaps. Once the tournament draw is made you will be required to organize and play your match by a specified date. The golf shop will provide you with contact details of your opponents so you may coordinate schedules. All matches must be played at Legacy on Lanier Golf Course.

The winning team will receive a trophy to keep and their names will be placed on the Match Play Championship Trophy kept in the clubhouse. The winning team will also receive a night stay for four in one of our new Legacy Villas at Lake Lanier Islands Resort.
Remember, at Legacy on Lanier Golf Club food and beverage is included with your green fee. So on your match day, come have some breakfast, warm up on the range and head out for battle on the lake!

Partners Lake Day Golf Tournament - 14th August 2010
We encourage all Legacy Golf Partners to accept our invitation to participate in our Lake Day Golf Tournament. The golf tournament format will be a two player morning scramble with a post tournament steak cookout! Partners Club Championship - 24th & 25th September 2010
The Club Championship will consist of 36 holes of strokeplay. After 18 holes on Saturday the scratch and handicap flights will be determined. The final round on Sunday will tee off in order with the leaders out last. GSGA handicaps are required which can be purchased through the golf club at a discounted rate of $30+tax. The entry fee is TBA. The tournament entry includes a post round prime rib cookout and complimentary cocktail at Sunset Cove.
